Before First Use: Place glass jar in dishwasher and thoroughly dry before sticking on thermal temperature sticker. Ensure you are using a clean jar to prevent any contamination with your starter.
Routine Cleaning: Wipe down the inside of the jar with a clean, dry cloth after each feeding to remove any dried starter residue.
Deep Cleaning: Every few weeks, transfer your starter to a temporary container or second jar and wash your jar with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before refilling.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Stick to mild dish soap and avoid bleach or harsh cleaners that could leave residues affecting your starter.
